Is it too cold to lay some turf?

Hi, i was thinking of laying some turf but someone said it was too cold....is this right?
any help greatly appreciated!

Hi Paul,
generally, turf can be laid at anytime of year providing that there is not a hard frost; with the weather as it is now you shouldn't have any problems getting it down.
Don't forget to lay new turf onto at least 2 inches of quality topsoil.
