Sterilized or not??

Would you reccommend sterilized topsoil or just normal soil for going under turf?

Hi,
sterilized soil is fine for any purpose, however, it is most suited to seeding jobs and for use in borders as it is free from weeds.
Our Lawnmix Topsoil is screened to 5mm and is ideal for any turfing jobs; it is also a lot cheaper than sterilized soil and weeds will not be a much of a problem anyway if you are turfing rather than seeding.
Remember to lay your new lawn onto at least 2 inches (preferably 4) of really decent, quality topsoil.

Hi Cheryl,
as sterilised soil has had most stuff burnt out of it you should expect to see a pH of an almost neutral (7) level give or take!
