rubber chippings for play areas
hi everybody,
i was just wondering if anybody would be able to give me some feedback on the new rubber chippings that you can get for use on play areas and borders?
i have seen a lot of stuff promised abt them and they sound great but is it one of those too good to be true things?
i would be interested to hear anybody elses thoughts on this product if they have used them at all?
norman.

rubber or bark?
I'd personally stick with the traditional bark myself. Who wants old shredded tyres
all over their borders!?
all over their borders!?
rubber bark
I agree - I had a look at the rubber chippings and they seemed a bit garish to me.
Normal wood bark looks more natural and you can get it tested for play areas if you need.
I just used normal bark from here on my kids play area - the super safe tested stuff is really just for councils and local authorities who might get sued if a kid scrapes their knees. Kids are kids at the end of the day - a bit of a tumble onto some bark or a splintered finger ain't gonna kill 'em!
